Well we had an amazing time at the weekend...if a little squished whilst we were travelling..we managed to get to Off The Tracks in Derbyshire and then down to Hastings for Tribal Earth...two very different vibes but both great fun! Thanks to all for making it a truly memorable weekender!! And not to forget, the weekend before we were at our beloved Itchycoo...brilliant as ever...thanks guys and see you all next year!!!!

Hi....Trancers...
Well it's ages since I posted anything but we have been far from sitting on our butts!!! The new album 'A Cluster of Waves' is due for release on Voiceprint on July 23rd '07...only a few weeks away. The album is more of the same great rambling psy-trance but with some stunning new stuff taking a poke at some sticky global subjects and once again the masterly melding of wierd and wonderful sounds and vibes from the band...It kind of ties up the loose ends of Fairies....Hence the pt. 2 bit...don't miss it!!!
More up to date and with a clean slate, the band welcome new front-woman Rachel, who will appear extensively on the current recording work, which is/will be essentially a re-wiring of the live set of the past 2-3 years. Rachel has taken the tunes to new levels with her sumptuous, sexy and very catchy vocal lines!! Astralasia like you have never heard before!...Duck to water is the phrase....nice one Rach!!!
Well then, as a newly shaken & stirred 7-8 piece live psy-trance band it's all feeling pretty hot!!.... So be sure to check on our gig dates, and catch up with us if you can!! If you were lucky enough to catch us in previous years, we thank you for your support and rocking out with us........Check out our myspace presence to see & hear more great stuff from the band, past and present....

Many thanks for the organisers of the 'in the woods/itchycoo' mini fest on saturday (9th Sept) for making it a comfortable and enjoyable trip!! We enjoyed ourselves and we think you lot did too!!!

SEOne went really well with minimum hassle and plenty of good vibes..... we should have some live photos available soon...and a thousand thanks for the support of the Whirl-y-Gig crew, and all friends and supporters who came along for making it a fantastic and magical night for all!!!

Astralasia are gearing up for their next gig in London at SEOne - This promises to be a good night as there are approximately 50 or so artists performing and displaying their arts & crafts, and there will be plenty to choose from on the night in terms of vibe as SEOne has five different 'rooms' in its underground arches, so theres something for everyone! The night is being hosted by Synergy which is an environmental and cultural information network supporting a diverse range of art-forms and awareness raising projects....do check out their website at www.thesynergyproject.org for full line up details and more of what they are up to.....
Worth a trip to the smoke for this one i think!!!

The next big gig for Astralasia is at one of the largest venues in London which looks to be a great place to play, right on the river under the railway!!!! Spoooky8-)

The new album is very nearly ready, with fantastic artwork by Peter Pracownik and talented young designer Bek Man, and the stuff inside is pretty wicked too! This is a must for fans old and new...please go check www.talkingelephant.co.uk which is the retail outlet for this fantastic double CD.

During 2005, the new line up has evolved and cut their teeth on some UK festivals/venues, and due to popular demand and success with the current format, we will be soaring into the stratosphere once again over 2006.
Astralasia are due to appear this year at Itchycoo Park, Sonic Rock, RedHill Trance Festival and subject to confirmation, the Levellers 'Beautiful Days' Festival with more gigs to be confirmed - Forthcoming double CD; 'Away With The Faeries' to be released April 2006, catalogue no. & label TBA.
